Buttons buttons buttons buttons!

I went to visit my grandmother last week and was able to pick through her massive button collection. Yay! (I also have a theory that all grandmothers have these tins full of buttons lying around.)

So, that means that I will be crafting away for the next couple weeks with these amazing buttons. Most of them are from the 60’s and 70’s, but there are a good amount of great buttons from her childhood that were also hiding away in that giant tin. There are plastic, celluloid, bakelite, glass, leather, brass, silver, mother of pearl… and more! Check back soon for more buttony creations! ^_^

Upcoming Posts: I decided to share the crafting love and create a tutorial on how to make simple button rings just for you guys! Very quick and easy. All you need a highlighter, wire, a button and creativity. I’ll be posting the tutorial this week :)

Brand new to the shop! I just made these cute rings today. I had a good amount of these little pastel buttons that I found recently at a thrift store and thought they would be perfect as a simple silver ring. The buttons are hearts and stars in pastel green, yellow, pink and blue. They are wire wrapped with silver wire and sparkle in the light.

The best part? Stacking them! If you drop by my Etsy shop, you can mix and match however many you want!

Cheers!

These are a few more pairs of stud earrings from the shop! They are also made from scrapbooking brads and repurposed into really cute earrings! The simple colors and shapes on these studs make them simple and elegant. Simple hearts, picnic plaid, royal crowns, star bursts and more!

So, if you like these, check out the rest of the shop. My biggest seller is stud earrings for a reason! :D

*Also, if anyone from Tumblr would like a special discount on anything from my shop…

  1. Follow my Tumblr
  2. Shoot me an email with your Tumblr name and the listing you want to order. I’ll send you a confirmation email back to you with the discounted Tumblr price :)

And violá! : D

Cheers!

This adorable song bird necklace was made, almost exclusivly, from salvaged jewelry. Everything but the wire and findings are from various other pieces bought from yard sales and thrift stores.
One of my favorite past times is to shop around for awkward, broken or gaudy (or even beautiful!) jewelry from thrift stores and yard sales. I love to make bits and pieces into beautiful OOAK items. This piece is made from three different necklaces I found recently and it works together quite nicely! The strong reds and blues of the beads blend seamlessly with the vibrance of the pendant.
Adorn yourself with these little song birds! They’re available at my Etsy and Artfire shops.

Cheers!

Cute little flower studs are perfect for summer! These studs are simple but also make a statement!
The pair was made with some abandoned scrapbooking brads I had lying around my apartment. I knew I had to use them in my jewelry and they turned out to be perfect for stud earrings! I have a bunch more where this came from, so stay tuned and visit the shop!

Here are some more from my Circles Collection. I’ve always really loved the simple beauty in circles and now I’ve made that the basis of this line!

These pendants are wrapped with silver wire and adorned with vintage buttons, rustic beads, or trees of life! Check out more at my Etsy and Artfire shops!
